Seoul Tofu House Information

If you're in the mood for some soul-warming comfort food with a Korean twist, Seoul Tofu House is the place to be. Located in the heart of Northridge at 10201 Reseda Blvd, this cozy diner is an absolute gem, especially if you’re a fan of traditional Korean dishes that pack a punch of flavor and spice. The minute you walk in, you’re greeted by the rich, savory aromas that promise a meal you won't soon forget.

The menu at Seoul Tofu House is a celebration of Korean comfort food, with an emphasis on tofu-based dishes. Their signature dish, of course, is the soondubu jjigae, a spicy and savory stew filled with soft, silky tofu, vegetables, and your choice of protein, whether it’s beef, pork, or seafood. It’s served bubbling hot, straight from the pot, and it's the kind of dish that wraps you in a blanket of warmth with every spoonful. If you’re someone who loves a bit of heat, the spiciness of their stew will definitely hit the spot, but it’s also perfectly balanced, so it doesn’t overwhelm the flavors.

In addition to the soondubu, Seoul Tofu House offers a variety of other Korean favorites. The bibimbap is another standout, with a perfectly cooked mix of rice, vegetables, a fried egg, and your choice of meat, all topped with a generous dollop of spicy gochujang sauce. It’s a dish that’s as satisfying as it is beautiful to look at. And if you're a fan of Korean BBQ, you’ll find a handful of grilled options on the menu, all served with traditional banchan (side dishes) that make the experience feel complete. The kimchi here deserves a special mention-it’s tangy, spicy, and flavorful, making it the perfect complement to any dish.

The atmosphere at Seoul Tofu House is laid-back and casual, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The interior is warm and inviting, with a homey vibe that matches the comforting food. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to recommend a dish or make sure you’re enjoying your meal. Whether it’s your first time trying Korean cuisine or you're a seasoned pro, the team here makes sure you feel right at home.

The location is pretty convenient too, situated on Reseda Boulevard in Northridge, with plenty of parking around the area. It’s a great stop if you're craving something hearty, especially on a chilly day when a bowl of soondubu jjigae can really hit the spot. Plus, the portions are generous, so you’ll definitely leave satisfied.

While Seoul Tofu House is known for its tofu-based dishes, it’s the overall experience that keeps customers coming back. The combination of flavorful food, friendly service, and the inviting atmosphere makes it a local favorite for anyone craving authentic Korean comfort food. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, the experience here is one that will make you want to return again and again.

What People's Say About Place

The best Korean stews in the entire Valley. I know there's musse and few other places sell similar foods, but as a Korean who knows all the best places for this kind of food, the traditional soups are the best here in this area. If you want to have a decent experience with sulungtang (beef bone stew), yukgaejang (spicy beef stew with noodles), samgyetang (chicken with herbs and ginseng), hangover stew, without going to specialty places in koreatown this is your best bet.

I have been here many times. Today I'm inspired to write a review. I got #28 Spicy Beef soup with glass noodles. If you really want to taste beef, this is the soup for you. Spice level is a medium for me. Comes with mini sides of a cup of white rice, potato salad (with apple chunks), Kim chi, and something that looks like a non-cabbage Kim Chi. To go was well wrapped and no spillage on the drive home!

Soon tofu had a variety of seafood (crab, clam, shrimp, squid) and was very tasty. "Spicy" was not very spicy compared to other soon tofu houses and the pot was rather small. Stone pot bibimbap was also good, although not much meat. All in all, a good lunch for two at the $20 combo price.

First time i ordered here it was meh. Then one time i ordered a take out late at night and maybe it was maybe the last order, they give so much serving and tasted way better. I've been ordering here since. The staff lady are okay sometimes there were some random laughing in front of you /looking at you which can have a double meaning. My only con is with all the orders I had here, there are still some days were the taste is different. It is not fixed taste- once in a month for example- you get a different / bland food.

I had never tried goat stew before. Before I tried it, I didn't know it was goat stew. I mistook it for beef soup. but it was goat stew and incredibly delicious. It was the best stew I've ever had. soooo tasty and the portion was huge, enough for two meals. I heard that goat stew is really good for women. No wonder I felt so good the next day. Even though it's far from my home, I'll definitely have it once a month. You must try the goat stew at this restaurant!!!! Even if you're a vegetarian, you have to try it. Never fails to disappoint!!!!

Hello! The Trekking Pawns here! We got the veggie bibimbap and was hoping for a bit more flavor. The sides were nice and we rice cooked very well. Added more of the Korean red spice sauce provided for flavor. Very nicer ladies that helped us!

My food is always tasty and fresh. I always order the spicy beef soup because I love spicy beef soup and everyone doesn't sell it so I keep coming back. And they always put lots of beef in it unlike most other places. The portion sizes are good because I always have enough for another meal later. They have good kimchi so I always order a big kimchi to-go also. They have really good mackerel and I also like their potato salad and broccoli salad. They are people of few words but they are always nice. It's located in a food court inside of an Asian grocery store that has a good bakery inside so I can also pick up dessert. I really like this location because I can bring my friends and we can all find something we want to eat.

The food was delicious The ladies at the register were nice. I had the bbq chicken and it was flavorful and a good sized portion.
